Biography

Minneapolis-based harpist Andrea Stern has performed as a soloist and with orchestras from North and South America and even Hong Kong!

She has also given concerts and provided music as a featured performer on board cruise ships.

Most recently, she was the Principal Harpist for the Minnesota Opera.

She continues to perform concerts, at events and weddings as well as educational programs that orient students to the wonders of the concert and Celtic harp. A sought-after teacher of students of all ages and abilities, she also has produced recordings featuring many of her own arrangements and compositions.

Andrea trained at the Cleveland Institute of Music, holds a Bachelor of Music from New England Conservatory in Boston, and also master degree studies at The University of Arizona. Her teachers include Mary Bartlett, Alice Chalifoux, Ann Hobson, and Carrol MacLaughlin.
